Fundraiser raises $100,000 for SNR

A dinner and auction fundraiser to benefit Specialized Needs Recreation raised about $100,000 on Saturday at Black Rock Golf Club, co-organizer Ron Nilson said.

SNR offers activities and programs for those with special needs in the community.

The event was sold out, with about 275 attendees.

"Black Rock was unbelievable in helping make the event possible," said co-organizer Travis Anderson. "It was nothing short of amazing. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised will support local residents with special needs."

Other organizers included Brett Nearing, Randy Oaks, Jim Kenney and others.

Anderson said another fundraiser for SNR is already being planned for next year, possibly around the same time and also at Black Rock.
