James ‘Jim’ Paul Taylor, 65

Jim was born Dec. 14, 1951, in Pullman, Wash., and lived in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where he passed away May 4, 2017.

Jim attended Borah Elementary then Coeur d’Alene Mid-High following with graduation from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1970. He married Cherie Johnson and welcomed two beautiful children — Jason (Tracee) Taylor and Jennifer (Andy) Samek.

Jim later married Sandy Houston — they were together for many years until her passing a few years ago.

Jim is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; his father, Jim W. Taylor; stepfather Wm. V. Lowry; his wife, Sandy Houston; and nephews Cody Lowry and Kayce Wood.

Jim is survived by his mother, Billie Lowry; siblings Vickie (Skip) Sampson, Duffy Taylor, Nikki (Mark) Russell, Bob (Cindy) Lowry, Lisa (Mike) Vuittonet and Bill (Trudi) Lowry; along with grandkids and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Bob and Cindy Lowry for their amazing love and support they’ve shown Jim during his last months. Also thank you to Hospice of North Idaho and the many caregivers who have shown Jim support and compassion in his last days.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Riverview Cemetery and a family celebration of life will be held at Iron Horse Restaurant in Coeur d’Alene at 3 p.m.
