Cardinals swept by Big Bend

MOSES LAKE — Big Bend Community College rallied with three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning of the second game to beat North Idaho College 6-5 on Wednesday, completing a sweep of the Northwest Athletic Conference East Region softball doubleheader.

Big Bend won the first game 9-7.

NIC hit four homers in the first game, including a three-run shot by Kennedy Anderson in the fifth. Megan Carver hit a two-run homer in the seventh.

Fifth-place Big Bend is 15-21, 12-16.

NIC (27-13, 18-10), in third place in the NWAC East, plays host to Yakima Valley on Saturday in a noon doubleheader at Memorial Field.
