Hagadone Hospitality closes Bonsai Bistro

| May 9, 2017 4:11 PM

A downtown Coeur d’Alene icon is no more.

Bonsai Bistro on Sherman Avenue has closed it doors, and they will remain shuttered.

“We just took a look at several factors and felt it was in our best interest to do this,” said Jerry Jaeger, president of Hagadone Hospitality Co.

Management met with all the team members at Bonsai, Jaeger said.

“Everyone has been told if they’d like to stay with the company, we’ll get a job for them at one of the properties, and we’re doing that right now,” Jaeger said.

The Pan-Asian restaurant may be gone, but Hagadone Hospitality isn’t finished with that location, although there are no immediate plans for a new business in that spot.

“We’re going to study our options and take our time,” Jaeger said.
