Community 1st Bank has grand opening

The loan production office of Community 1st Bank celebrated its grand opening last week at 504 E. Sherman Ave. The downtown location previously housed KXLY studios.

Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, the location includes an ATM, a drive-through and 35 parking spaces. The 10-year-old business also has branches on Hanley Avenue and in Post Falls.

David P. Bobbitt is chairman and CEO with Carolyn Deitz as executive assistant, Kyle Hendricks as senior vice president and he and David V. Bobbitt as commercial loan officers. Chamira opening

in Plaza Shops

Younger women’s clothing with dresses and swimwear, accessories and gifts are offered at Chamira Fashion. Moving from Spokane Valley Mall, the new store opens soon in the suite of the Plaza Shops toward McEuen Park.

Owner Christine Traylor said hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the school year and 10 to 8 p.m. in the summer. The soon-operating website is www.chamirafashion.com.

Faithful Chocolates

moves to Post Falls

Premium brand local chocolates and other sweets, special and inscribed containers, gift cups, mugs, journals, devotionals, Bibles, T-shirts and military and Christian hats and ties. All this and more is at Faithful Chocolates, which this week is moving from Ironwood Square to Suite 104 in Dollar Tree Mall across from Wal-Mart at 740 N. Cecil Road in Post Falls.

Available in chocolate cases or prepacked, choices include almond and pecan patties, turtles, caramels, nut clusters, soft-centers, truffles and 50 flavors of Jelly Bellies. Boxes include choices of more than 40 keepsake box lids including Precious Mother, I Love You, Thank-You, Thinking of You, You Are My Sunshine and Speedy Recovery.

Knowhere Comics

in Tedder Center

Seven guys have joined together to open a coffee shop and game store for the community of Post Falls. Knowhere Comics Coffee & Games is at 4274 Riverbend Ave. on the north side of Tedder Center, the former Outlet Mall almost at State Line.

The business includes family board games, old and new comic books, Death Wish (the world’s strongest coffee) and Union Coffee, a local coffee roaster. Drinks include coffee by the cup, cold-brew coffee on tap, pour-over coffee, French-press coffee, two flavors of kombucha on tap, Italian sodas and more coming.

“We saw a need in Post Falls for a place for both families and gamers to hang out and learn to play games,” said Logan Knight. Other owners are Kurt Wismer, Luke Knight, Brandt Starosta, Nick Grimm, Kirk Knight and Charles Radavich.

- Aaaargh! Just found out two new eateries are opening this week! Domino’s Pizza opens Monday at Highway 41 and Mullan in Post Falls. And Umami Ramen has its soft opening Tuesday where the Ugly Fish used to be in Riverstone from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4 to 9 p.m. Details here next week.
