COEUR d’ALENE — No decisions were made Friday regarding a request by defense attorneys in the trial of the man accused of killing Coeur d’Alene Police Sgt. Greg Moore to move the trial to another county.

Jonathan Renfro, a 26-year-old Rathdrum resident who allegedly admitted to shooting Moore in a Coeur d'Alene neighborhood on May, 5, 2015, faces the death penalty if found guilty. More than three hours of testimony from expert witnesses, who were hired by Renfro’s attorneys, was heard by Kootenai County District Court Judge Lansing Haynes related to how media coverage has potentially impacted a local jury pool.

Cross-examination and further testimony from the expert witnesses extended beyond the normal 5 p.m. end of business day at the courthouse.
