COEUR d'ALENE — Now that we've been reminded what 83-degree weather feels like, it's time to take a dip.

No, not into Lake Coeur d'Alene just yet.

We're taking a dip in the temperatures back to where we've been.

The high on sun-soaked Thursday reached 83, falling 4 degrees short of tying the record of 87 in 1966, said Randy Mann, Press meteorologist.

Today's high is expected to be 70 with scattered showers and a possibility of a thunderstorm, followed by the mid-50s to 60 and more showers this weekend.

Mann said dry weather should return early next week.

"It may be a couple weeks before we get back into the 70s again," he said.
