Cari Lynne Wadsworth, 36

Cari Lynne Wadsworth left this life April 30, 2017, at her home in Twin Falls, Idaho, where her family was gathered. She was born on Aug. 27, 1980, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to Julie Ann Morgan and Gary Adams Child, the oldest of six children.

Cari was raised in Post Falls, Idaho, and graduated from Post Falls High School in 1998. While a student, she was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was often called to be the ward organist throughout her life because of her exceptional musical skills. Even as a student she occupied some of her free time with jobs in local fast food businesses and school activities. Her schooling continued at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho, where she graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in family and consumer science.

College was not all hard work. She had time to attend school activities and on a double date she met her husband-to-be, Andrew W. Wadsworth from Pocatello. She and Andrew hit it off right away, but it would be two years before they married. Andrew served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Venezuela. He proposed soon after he returned home. A proposal Cari accepted.

Cari excelled as a wife and mother. She was a loyal and loving wife to Andrew and supported him in his work and educational efforts, as well as his service in the Army National Guard and one deployment to Iraq. She supplemented the family income with part-time employment. Her first child, Kaylee Morgan Wadsworth (13), was born just before he was deployed to Iraq. Isaac Andrew Wadsworth (9) was followed by Emry Lynne Wadsworth (7) and Easton Matthew Wadsworth (5). She was dedicated to her children and loved them so much that no sacrifice was to great.

A short time before Easton was born a tumor was found behind her left knee and she had to have the tumor removed before Easton’s birth. Last year the tumors returned and Cari suffered greatly from the effects of the tumors and the established treatments. She never gave up and never lost hope.

Cari is survived by her husband and children; as well as her mother and father and five siblings: Amy Arlene Greenwood (Chase), Nathan Morgan Child (Christina), Andrew Wright Child (Samantha), Lindsey Kay Clark (Jonathan) and Lance Adams Child (Jessica). Her family includes eight nieces and nephews.

The survivors also include her in-laws Samuel G. and Bernice Wadsworth; and brothers- and sisters-n-law: Jennifer Bell (John), Samuel A. Wadsworth (Kristina), James E. Wadsworth (Jessica), Holly Bowen (Taren), Thomas G. Wadsworth (Heidi) and Matthew J. Wadsworth (Heather); and 28 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. today, May 4, 2017, at the Twin Falls 7th Ward, 847 Eastland Drive North, Twin Falls, under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
