KIDNEY: Offer from jail
On March 20, KHQ broadcasted a segment on a young lady in Spokane who is going through some very serious health issues and is in desperate need of a kidney transplant. I was not able to catch this young lady’s name or what treatment center she was in.
I am 65 years old; there is really not much life left for me and to be quite truthful, I have lived my life… thereby, I would be more than proud to donate a kidney to help save this young lady and to possibly help her obtain the life she seems capable only of “dreaming about.”
I have no clue if she and I would be compatible for a transplant, but I sure would care to find out.
I am fully aware of society’s stigma about criminals and the prejudice which abounds. But I do not believe that if I donated a kidney, it would turn this young lady into a criminal. Plus, if we are compatible, why refuse a free kidney that would actually save a life?
If one kidney would add 65 years to the life of this young lady, come and get it!
