YELLOW: Color of honor

I respect Ms. Rosenberg’s view on the meaning of the yellow ribbon and the worst of the worst in jail.
First, it’s just a (really good) song from the ’70’s that everyone knows the chorus to.
Hey, I’m 46 but vaguely remember hearing it at the end of the Tony Orlando and Dawn show.
Also, I remember back in the ’90s it was a major symbol for America during Desert Storm. Bumper stickers still live on cars today.
Most importantly, the origin of the yellow ribbon goes back to the Civil War and Union soldiers. Not only on the soldiers, but the families back home.
It’s a color of honor and solidarity, so please don’t taint that for the rest of us.
