Technique Gymnastics Xcel teams traveled to Boise for the first Xcel only state competition on March 10-12.

There were close to 400 girls competing, and the meet was hosted by Danik Gymnastics in Meridian.

SELECT SOCCER

Sting Timbers 00 boys: The Sting Timbers went to the Las Vegas Showcase where they spent the weekend playing some of the top teams from Southern California.

In the blazing heat the boys came out cool and lost 3-0 against the CDA Slammers FC, only to bounce back and draw 1-1 against the Murrietta Surf 00B, with Max Bennett having the lone goal assisted from Dakota Curtis.

Saturday’s game was a 4-2 loss against the Empire SC 00B Orange. Dakota Fisbeck put one in, assisted from Dakota Curtis, and Dalton Curtis scored a PK. This Empire team ended up winning their division for the showcase.

Sunday the Sting Timbers finished the Showcase with a 1-1 tie against the Strikers FC NorthB 00. Mac Stultz assisted to Dakota Curtis for the lone goal for the Sting Timbers.

Sting Timbers FC 05 Boys White: The Sting Timbers started the spring soccer season with a 5-1 win over FC Spokane Sauther at Plantes Ferry Soccer Complex in Spokane Valley. Jaron Voller, Charlie Pinto, Isaac Fritts, Noah Wadell and Chet Hanna scored for Sting Timbers FC, and Gunner Larson was in goal.

The Sting Timbers continued their Intermountain Premier League spring season with another win (5-1) at Plantes Ferry Soccer Complex against rival Spokane Shadow United – Hope. Scoring goals for Sting Timbers were Isaac Fritts, Noah Waddell, and Gunner Larson. Gavin Schoener was in goal.

Sting Timbers FC Yellow 06 boys: The Sting Timbers defeated the Spokane SC Shadow Elite B06 Atkinson 5-0 on Saturday. Ronan Sternberg scored two goals, Jacob Molina had a goal and an assist, Gavin Samayoa, Braden Latscha and Kason Pintler each scored a goa, and Ari Rumpler had an assist. Rafael Rubio and Connor Jump teamed for the shutout in goal.
