SKYWAY: Cause for concern

Wake up, Coeur d’Alene School District! You claim to have such an excellent track record with spending money where you say you will, but evidence says otherwise!

You said you used taxpayer money to pay for updated security and teacher and administrator training on how to deal with dangerous situations. I don’t think people paid much attention based on the fact that Skyway Elementary released children to traipse through a police incident where guns were drawn!

Then add salt to the wound with a district email saying there was a “traffic incident.”

Parents and students deserve a public apology as well as assurance that a plan will be in place if this kind of situation should ever happen again.

And support for a levy and bond? Forget about it until you start demonstrating integrity and common sense. I can’t exactly trust you with $35 million now, can I?
