LAKELAND: Making leaders
There are many positive things about Lakeland Junior High School like excellent teachers, great peers, and one of the best schools in the state of Idaho. The teachers and great principals and other school advisers help, but we can also thank the amazing groups like Leadership. Leadership students help keep the school clean, sponsor dances, and other things like writing this letter to The Press. National Junior Honor Society rewards high grades and achievements with a group dedicated to community service, making the schools and community better around us, and organizing after-school activities like the recent Dr. Seuss Night at John Brown. Idaho Drug Free Youth helps the students at Lakeland Junior High make the right choice and stay drug free as well as making the school better. Finally, Hawk Greeters help new students orient themselves making a smoother transition into our great school.
Going back to the great teachers in our school, they help the students learn all their subjects. The junior high allows for a 30-minute time period Tuesday-Friday for extra time for academic support. All in all, Lakeland Junior High flows with positivity from students to clubs to great teachers and staff. Here at LJHS success for all of our students is our constant mission.
