LAKELAND: Support levy

| March 9, 2017 12:00 AM

Hello, my name is Aubrey and I am writing to let you know I am in support of our upcoming levy. Timberlake Jr. High is my school. I am an eighth-grade student, who has been a part of the Lakeland School District since I was in kindergarten, 2008-2017. That’s nine years. I know a lot about our school district, and something is missing. I believe we, the students of the Lakeland School District, could highly benefit from the Levy.

The Levy could help better student’s learning. Technology could be provided to students in families that can’t afford technology themselves. Students could then easily communicate with teachers at home, or over the weekend, and have a broader and more accessible selection of learning tools. Parents would also be able to oversee what and how their child is doing in school.

Instruments and sports equipment could be greater than they were before. Transportation, to tournaments, concerts, practice, etc., would be less of an issue. Electives could be improved by an larger, exceptional choice, in supplies and classes. Students could show more than just their academic side, and could express themselves in a more prominent way.

Thank you for reading, and please vote YES for the Lakeland School District Levy, to better improve our lives as students.
