SCHOOLS: Support levy, bond
What could be more important then to provide a solid learning environment for our children to learn and develop? Children need an environment where they have access to all the equipment, books and other resources they need to support their pursuits into the vast, ever-changing landscape of the knowledge. They need an environment where they feel like they are supported and challenged to do their best. One where they are encouraged to think both inside and outside the box and to work hard. An environment where they have the best teachers, teachers who have the resources to help each student find a pathway to success.
Without the proper resources and a path toward success, students won’t be equipped to face the future. Teacher’s hands will become tied. Teachers won’t be able to carve out the best pathway for the students. When only the minimum is invested, the results become limited. Without proper resources, decisions will be made by dollars not by what’s best for our students.
At no time in my memory can I remember when schools were less supported.
How can we expect students to aggressively pursue learning when we aren’t supporting them along the way? Don’t we want them to be prepared to be active, knowledgeable members of our society?
Supporting the bond and the levy are no-brainers. Helping students get off to a solid start will benefit us all in the end.
