AFGHANISTAN: A dead end

Afghanistan is a geographic area; it is not a nation. The government in Kabul is run by non-ethnic Afghans, who are Tajiks. The Taliban are Pashtun, who are ethnic Afghans.
We have been fighting there 16 years in a situation still described as a stalemate. Will the grandchildren of today’s American troops still be fighting there?
