Carole L. Shelton, 58

Carole Lee Shelton, born July 3, 1958, in Walla Walla, Wash., passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Hospice House of North Idaho in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on June 25, 2017, after a yearlong battle with brain cancer.

Carole (also known as Care Bear by her daughter and twin sister) was a homemaker in Post Falls, Idaho. She lived to make everyone she knew happy. She had such a passion and vision for crafting, and put her entire heart and soul into items such as cross stitching, blankets, cardigans and decoupage piggy banks. Many family and friends have pieces of her work in our homes that we will cherish forever.

Survivors include the love of her life and soul mate, Ken Shelton of Post Falls; beloved identical twin sister, Cheryl (Cher Bear) McPartland (Steve) of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughter Amanda Crowder (Panda Bear) (Wayne) of Coeur d’Alene; son David Bissell (Michelle) of Reno, Nev.; two grandsons who she absolutely adored, Braeden Crowder and Isaac Bissell; stepchildren Kyle and Krystal (grandbabies Michael Jr. and Zoey); sisters Norma and Marcia of Las Vegas; nieces Tiffany and Jessica of Las Vegas; as well as several aunts and cousins.

A private celebration of her life and the imprint she has made in our hearts will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Manito Park, located in Spokane, Wash. Her remains will be placed in a niche located at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.

Relatives and friends can anticipate a memorial video posted on YouTube shortly after the celebration. Please share your thoughts and memories of Carole in her online memorial at www.belltowerfuneralhome.com.
