SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Recent Coeur d’Alene High grad Grady Leonard placed sixth in the shot put at the USA Track and Field Junior Outdoor Championships this past week.

Leonard’s best throw at the meet was 63 feet, 7 3/4 inches.

The top two finishers in each event are invited to represent the USA at the Pan American Junior Championships in Lima, Peru, in July.
