Jerome ‘Jerry’ Allen Nutting, 77

Jerome “Jerry” Allen Nutting went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on June 21, 2017, just three weeks shy from his 78th birthday at the Sneidmiller Hospice House in Hayden, Idaho. Jerry was born to Ralph and Marion Nutting on July 7, 1939, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jim Nutting. He leaves behind his wife, Patty Nutting, of 46 years; his two sons, Robert Bozeley Nutting and Mikele Nutting (Dawn); daughter Wendy Nutting Stuck (Chad); and six grandchildren, Shon, Chase, Blake and Seth Nutting, Robby Rhodes and Kayti Barnett. He also has three great-granddaughters, Keira, Kendra and Savana. He also leaves behind his sister, Sharon Phillips; and several nieces and nephews Lana Gallegos (Aaron Wright), Penny Allen, Wayne Steele, Ron Phillips, Cindy McGovern (Eric), Jim Nutting Jr., Tina Zincgraf (Dale) and Mike Oursland.

Jerry worked at the Coeur d’Alene Tree Nursery for 28 years and retired from there almost 13 years ago. He also worked for Don Lavoie driving a Hamm’s beer truck, drove a pop truck and worked in one of the saw mills in Coeur d’Alene.

Jerry loved teaching Bible studies or being in one. He never turned anyone away who knocked on the door, instead he found that an opportunity to share God’s love for them. If you asked him what one thing he would want to be remembered for, it would be his complete love and devotion to his Heavenly Father!

Jerry and Patty attended Coeur d’Alene Bible Church on Fourth Street across from Coeur d’Alene High school. There will be a celebration of his going home to be with the Lord of his life on this Earth at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017, at the Coeur d’Alene Bible Church. Lunch will be served afterward.

If any donations are given, please give to the Sneidmiller Hospice House who took excellent care of my husband. We are very grateful for their kind and compassionate nurses and staff. We also would like to thank Dr. Ettner in the Emergency Department; Dr. Anchor and Dr. Fogerty for all their kindness and expertise in so many ways helping us through his last days.
