Post Falls man arrested for alleged sexual exploitation of a child

BOISE — Attorney General Lawrence Wasden has announced investigators with his Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit have arrested a Post Falls man for allegedly downloading and disseminating child pornography over the internet.

The ICAC Unit arrested 35-year-old Edward L. Gardner on Thursday. He was charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Child and booked into the Kootenai County Jail.

The ICAC Unit was assisted by the Kootenai County Prosecutor’s Office, Post Falls Police Department, Coeur d’Alene Police Department, Moscow Police Department and the FBI.

The Attorney General’s ICAC Unit works with the Idaho ICAC Task Force, a coalition of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, to investigate and prosecute individuals who use the internet to criminally exploit children.
