Northern Lakes opens tourney with two wins

LIBBY, Mont. — The Northern Lakes Mountaineers beat Mission Valley 5-1 and the Libby Loggers 15-2 on Friday to open play at the Libby Big Bucks tournament.

Against Libby, Andrew Neison hit two triples and Ryan Pote hit a two-run homer in the third inning for Northern Lakes (12-5). Dylan Bradbury went 2 for 2 with three RBIs, and Logan McDonald hit a bases-clearing double in the fourth.

The Mountaineers play the Cranbrook Bandits this morning.
