In no particular order, they are: Track and field: Maddie Morris, Caitlin Conway, Taryn Horvath, Nate Burch, Taylor Dawson, Zac Magee and Grady Leonard. Girls tennis: Lauren Carlsen, Sarah Swider, Hannah Johnson, Kayla Fagan, Kim Gunnerson and Kiah Morton. Boys tennis: Rex Wade, Brock Tanya, Bracken Curtis, Adam Priebe, Josh Whitney and Bayley Throm. Softball: Kylie Smith. Baseball: Trevor Luckey, Cam Luckey, Kallen Langley and Jackson Sumner. Skeet and trap: Dom Rey and Michael Self. Golf: Chase Mitchell, Justin Kofmehl and Martina Hicks. Courtesy photo The Coeur d’Alene Crush ’04 won the championship at the 12U Crush fastpitch softball tournament in Post Falls on June 17-18. The Crush won all of their pool play games to become the No. 1 seed in bracket play. In pool play, the Crush beat the North Idaho Bombers 20-5, the Boise Blast 9-1, DryIce 11-2 and the Post Falls Blast 12-1. In bracket play Sunday, the Crush beat the Boise Blast 12-4, as Alexis Blankenship hit an over-the-fence home run. In the championship game, the Crush beat the Post Falls Blast 13-1. From left are coaches Tim Rice and Sean Cleave; players Ally Bell, Kara Lallatin, Kaylyn Rice, Madi Cleave, Brynn Tolzmann, Alexis Blankenship, Alyssa Krause, Kristine Schmidt, Catherine Bakken and Matea Dorame; and coaches Mike Dorame and Bob Schmidt. The Crush is now 25-3-1 on the season. The previous week, the Crush placed third in the Gold Bracket at the 12U KGSA fastpitch softball tournament in Spokane on June 9-11. The Crush won all of their 12U pool play games to make the Gold Bracket. In the quarterfinals, the Crush beat the Washington Sun Rays 3-2, then lost 12-11 to the Spokane Mudhens.
