Garden club tour happening July 30

| June 21, 2017 1:00 AM

The Coeur d’Alene Garden Club will present this year’s “Nature’s Reflections” garden tour on Sunday, July 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is the 20th annual garden tour event sponsored by the Garden Club. Advance tickets are $25 per person and are now on sale at most local garden centers.

This year’s tour features three gardens. One, in Dalton Gardens, features a robust vegetable plot, extensive shade and sunflower borders, and a metalworker’s art space. Another, in Hayden, features waterfalls, ponds, vibrant displays of perennials and annuals, and includes many seating areas throughout the garden.

Guests will also enjoy a scenic boat cruise across Lake Coeur d’Alene to Casco Bay to visit to the Hagadone gardens, featuring 11 acres of waterfalls, ponds and plantings.

“We’re so excited for the inspiration that this year’s tour will offer. All of the gardens display unique and beautiful ideas. Plus, with live music and artisan vendors offering garden related items, there’s something for everyone,” said Garden Tour Committee Chair Bonnie Warwick, in a news release announcing the tour.

The Collector’s Garden Poster, featuring artwork by Leon Roulette, will also be available for purchase. Roulette’s work is currently available at galleries in Napa Valley, Calif.; Portland, Ore.; and currently on display in the windows at the Angel Gallery in Coeur d’Alene.

This is a self-guided tour so guests can begin and end as they wish. Maps are included on the tickets. Proceeds of the tour benefit local charities and North Idaho College Scholarships.

If tickets remain available the day of the event, they will be $30 per person at tour locations, Vanhoff’s, or Ace Hardware in Coeur d’Alene. Cash or check only.
