Out of the Shadows auditions are Monday

Hey superstars, Out of the Shadows Theater wants you.

Out of the Shadows, a theater program of the nonprofit Specialized Needs Recreation, is holding auditions for its fall show, “Fiddler on the Roof Jr.,” at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Lutheran Church of the Master.

Shadow actors rehearse and perform alongside actors with special needs or disabilities, providing coaching and support. The fully staged production will take place in the Kroc Theater in the Kroc Center.

“We’ve added a third performance as we sold the two last year and had to turn away about 100 people,” said Wendy Carroll, Out of the Shadows founder. “Also, this year we will have reserved seats so there will be less confusion. We never really anticipated the huge turnout last year!”

Rehearsals will take place Mondays and Wednesdays beginning in July. It is not essential to sing, but it would be helpful. All ages and levels of experience are welcome.

Lutheran Church of the Master is located at 4800 N. Ramsey Road in Coeur d'Alene.
