HAYDEN LAKE — Two burglary suspects were arrested on Saturday night after they were located in a stolen car.

Tanner D. Flowerdew, 26, and Tesandra D. Graupman, 34, were arrested after a Kootenai County Sheriff's Office deputy located a stolen car near the intersection of north Lakeview Drive and east Miles Avenue in Hayden Lake at 8:57 p.m.

The vehicle’s license plates had been removed and, during the traffic stop, the deputy recognized the driver as the suspect in the vehicle theft, according to the KCSO.

Additional deputies then arrived to assist.

During a search of the car, numerous items of stolen property, including checks and credit cards, were found in the car stemming from burglaries in Coeur d’Alene.

Due to the large amount of suspected stolen items, the vehicle and all the property were seized for followup investigations.

Flowerdew was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, stolen financial transaction card and paraphernalia. Graupman was arrested for possession of a stolen financial transaction card.

Additional charges are expected once more victims are contacted, according to the KCSO.

Flowerdew has been booked into the Kootenai County jail 16 prior times and Graupman nine.
