Melissa Connors (Collett), 37

Melissa Joy Connors, 37, passed away in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on June 6, 2017, after battling many months with pancreatic cancer. Melissa was born on June 1, 1980, to parents John Collett and Nancy Collett (Clark) in Olympia, Wash., as the youngest of four children.

Melissa was born and raised in Olympia where in 1998 she graduated from North Thurston High School. The Lord was a big part of her entire life. She had many passions: selfies, the outdoors, singing, cars, auto mechanics, racing, riding motorcycles, her family and friends, but most of all, her daughter, Hope. She was known as “Tough Girl” by many. She was Strong, Determined, Funny and Full of Life. She was the type of person that everyone wanted to have in their life. She was a mentor to many people. She could bring out the best in anyone.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Michael Connors; her mother, Nancy Collett; her daughter, Hope; her sisters, Lori Gregrich, Lisa Avila and Debbie Luperini; along with countless members of her extended family and lifetime friends. Melissa’s family would like to thank The North Idaho Hospice for their outstanding care and support during the last months of her life.
