Judy Anastasia Krueger, 74

Judy Krueger, 74, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away at Kootenai Health on June 5, 2017. Judy was born Jan. 1, 1943, in Rib Lake, Wis., to John and Fern (Stibbe) Novak. Judy had her early years in Rib Lake playing with the Makovec children and eating cheese bits from the local cheese factory. In the late 1940s, the Novaks moved to Coeur d’Alene, following the Makovec family. Judy attended IHM Academy through her junior year and then transferred to Coeur d’Alene High School to graduate.

Judy married Jerry Martin shortly thereafter. They had four children together: Richard Martin of Coeur d’Alene, Randy Martin of Clarkston, Wash., Deborah Randolph of Boise, Idaho, and Ron Martin of Post Falls. After her separation from Jerry, she met and married Donald Wargi. They had one son, Robert B. Wargi. After her divorce, she moved to Coeur d’Alene from Boise. She met Wesley Krueger at pizza in Spokane through her friend Meg (Makovec) Elyard of Coeur d’Alene. Judy married Wes on Dec. 30, 1982, at the Calvary Chapel at Fort Sherman in Coeur d’Alene. They had no children together, but she loved Tiffany Ann (Krueger) Renalds of Denver, Color., from Wes’ previous marriage.

Judy was the current State Representative for the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts. She gained and had her creativity enhanced by her coordinating Community Education classes at Fairmont Junior High in Boise. She also took those classes from Boise State College. She was an executive secretary for various businesses in the area. In 1999, she became the in-home care provider for Wes’s parents, Roland and Hatie Krueger from Drake, N.D.

Her main hobby was her miniatures, NAME, Play with Ity-bits, and sale shows in the Northwest. Her biggest love was her 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Fern Novak; a sister, Rhea (Novak) Wood of Spokane; and one grandchild, KC Martin of Post Falls.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft Ave., Coeur d’Alene, with a reception to follow the urn committal at the St. Pius X Columbarium.
