| June 6, 2017 1:00 AM

COEUR d’ALENE — Internationally acclaimed pianist and vocalist Kevin Cole will be returning to Coeur d'Alene tonight, for one night only.

Cole will perform at 7 p.m. at the Kroc Center, 1765 W. Golf Course Road. Tickets: $25/adults, $15/students or $75 for limited onstage seating that includes an autographed CD and invite to meet the artist after the show. For tickets or more information: call (208) 391-2867 or visit www.lauralittletheatricals.com.

Cole’s performances, especially his interpretation of Gershwin, have prompted accolades from some of the foremost critics in American music.

“When Cole sits down at the piano, you would swear Gershwin himself was at work. Cole stands as the best Gershwin pianist in America today,” wrote Howard Reich, arts critic for the Chicago Tribune.

Cole will perform on the Kroc Center stage, an intimate venue for an artist who has played to sold-out audiences at the Hollywood Bowl, the Kennedy Center and Royal Albert Hall.

Cole has played Carnegie Hall multiple times including at the Marv Hamlisch Tribute sharing a stage with Bernadette Peters, Lucie Arnez, Michael Douglas, Indina Menzel and more.

Vocally trained by Judy Garland’s vocal coach Hugh Martin, Cole’s performance will include witty story telling, crooning and mastery of the piano.

“He is a fabulous all around entertainer, and I am thrilled that he has agreed to come back to our community,” said producer Laura Little. Little is a Broadway producer of “Peter and the Starcatcher,” “First Date” and the current hit “Come From Away.” She also produces “Traditions of Christmas” in Coeur d’Alene annually.

Laura Little Theatrical Productions is presenting the concert to benefit the Northwest Theatre Arts and Education Foundation, a nonprofit that provides performing arts scholarships.
