Hurrah, Hurrah, it's opening soon…
As advertised the 9th of June!
I pen this little rhyme for all,
Those who do and do not recall,
Earlier days with memories dear,
When this same carousel
Lived and breathed its wonder and its ah…
Right here, at Playland Pier.
On summer days into September,
With fondness some of us remember;
Boosting our young kids astride,
Delighted in wonder, all wide-eyed,
Mesmerized by ups and downs
The music and the go-arounds.
Let's join to thank those generous hearts,
Who've unselfishly played their parts
In bringing about this worthy end —
To let it live and breathe
Its wonder and its ah… again.
