Kay Waldo (Brown), 68

Kay Marie Waldo, 68, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away May 27, 2017, at Hospice of North Idaho’s Schneidmiller House after a long, courageous battle with COPD. She was born March 11, 1949, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to Russell and Zoe Brown.

She married John Waldo on Oct. 19, 1968. They lived in Kingston where Kay devoted her life to taking care of her family. When she wasn’t helping others, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and crafts. She spent countless hours working in her garden and yard as it always looked amazing. Kay’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She loved and spoiled her dogs just as much as the kids.

Our beloved wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister and daughter loved us with all her heart. She leaves behind her husband, John; her daughters, Heidi Brush (Steve) and Deanna Maravilla; grandchildren Jordan, Jared (Shara), Casey (Jenn), Brock (Corinna), Kelsea (Sean) and Tyler; great-grandchildren Zoey and Dalton Waldo, Gunnar and Haven Reed; brother Jim Brown and sister Carol Goldsmith; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as the many friends she loved like family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Zoe; and sister Barbara.

We were all deeply blessed to have her in our lives and will desperately miss her!

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family suggests contributions in honor of Kay be made to Shoshone Pet Rescue, Shriners Hospital for Children, or Hospice of North Idaho.
