Young fishing enthusiasts Gabe Literall, left, and Bryson Mort show off their catches during the 2015 Reel Weekend sportsman outdoor expo in downtown Coeur d’Alene. The event returns June 10 and 11 with fishing competitions, vendors and family activities in McEuen Park.

Prepare to reel in the fun next weekend when the "Reel Weekend" sportsman outdoor expo returns to McEuen Park in Coeur d’Alene.

Hosted by local TV show "Reel Sportsman," the two-day expo will feature recreational dealers and vendors, fishing tournaments open to the public, lots of kids activities, music, food vendors and more.

"This year's Reel Weekend has doubled in size, competitions and grand prizes," said "Reel Sportsman TV" host Brett Surplus. "This is a great opportunity for parents to create a great memory competing for a Lund Boat with their kids."

The fishing starts June 10 on Lake Coeur d'Alene at 6:30 a.m. with fish weigh-in at 3 p.m. The Saturday tournament is a dual-species tournament in which the winner will receive an inclusive fishing trip to the world-famous bass lake, Lake El Salto, in Mexico. Winners will stay at the Anglers Inn.

The Sunday fishing will feature the first Lund "AYA Angler Young Angler" tournament, which will consist of one parent and two youths 17 and younger. The winner of that tournament will walk away with a Lund A-12 fishing boat and trailer, along with a 5-horsepower Mercury motor. Other prizes include a Motor Guide trolling motor and a Lowrance fishfinder. Fishing again starts at 6:30 a.m. with weigh-in at 3 p.m. The public is welcome to attend weigh-ins.

During Reel Weekend, Cabela's will be giving away 100 rod and reel combos to kids 10 and younger. June 10-11 also is free fishing weekend in Idaho, so no fishing license is required. This includes non-residents.

Live filming for "Reel Sportsman" will be taking place during the event. The episode will be announced at a later date.
