McCliment-Call, Bourgard fuel Post Falls rout
• BOYS
MOSCOW — Tanner McCliment-Call scored 17 points, hitting four 3-pointers as the Post Falls Trojans beat the Moscow Bears 66-40 in nonleague boys basketball Friday night at Bear Den.
“I was really happy with our team defense,” said Post Falls coach Mike McLean, whose team built a 64-28 lead after three quarters. “We shared the ball, didn’t settle for the first shot and moved the ball around. It was a good team win.”
David Bourgard scored 15 points for Post Falls (11-2), which finished the game 11 of 27 from beyond the 3-point line with 18 assists and forcing 13 turnovers.
“I thought Casey Walker had a good game off the bench and played well on defense,” McLean said. “David hit three 3-pointers and it was really good basketball from both of them tonight.”
Jake Pfennigs sat out the game due to an ankle injury, but is expected back when the Trojans play at Lake City on Tuesday.
Glen Gosse scored 13 points for Moscow, which hosts Lakeland in a 4A Inland Empire League game on Tuesday.

RATHDRUM — Kenny Louie-McGee scored seven of his game-high 27 points in the final four minutes as the Timberwolves beat the Hawks at Hawk Court.
“It was back and forth with little spurts by both teams,” Lakeland assistant coach Bill Ryan said. “A lot of it was off defensive effort and getting the shots that way, or they’d have a spurt and go down and score in transition.”
Kaden Davis had 22 points and five assists, Dylan Vahey 19 points and Dylan Knight 12 points and eight rebounds for Lakeland (5-12), which made 12 3-pointers.
“Dylan (Vahey) shot the ball really well for us,” Ryan said. “That’s going to be very big for us.”

RATHDRUM — Nina Carlson scored 16 points and Lauren Rewers added 10 as the visiting Timberwolves took advantage of a notable size advantage against the Hawks on senior night at Hawk Court.
“They walked into the gym and they blotted out the overhead lighting,” Lakeland coach Steve Seymour said of the T-Wolves. “They’re a tall team, and they played well. They executed well, they found the open girl. We worked really hard, but you can work really hard and still have them throw the ball over the top of the defense. It’s tough to defend a 6-4 post with a 5-7 post, but we tried.”
Lake City (15-4) plays host to Lewiston on Monday in a game for second place in the 5A Inland Empire League.
Tauna Kirk, one of five seniors, led Lakeland (2-16) with six points.
“Five great Lakeland kids went out and battled against a team that was really good,” Seymour said.
Makenzie Edinger, a 5-8 junior, had five rebounds, which was a “pretty good accomplishment against those tall posts,” Seymour said.
Lakeland travels to Sandpoint on Tuesday.

“We got a lot of offensive rebounds (17 for the game) and scored on quite a few of them,” St. Maries coach Jay Sines said. “Our height advantage was a big key for us. Defensively, I thought the girls played really well all-around and made it tough for their 3-point shooters to get going.”
