PLUMMERS: Give 'em a hand(ball)

Former NFL Pro-Bowl Quarterback Jake Plummer, wife Kollette, and dedicated family members are to be commended for hosting the annual Plummer Family Handball Tournament this past weekend. What a great opportunity to witness the intriguing sport of handball, with matches between many of the nation’s top players. The Plummers provide the welcome hospitality; family style atmosphere; a buffet consisting of a variety of hot and cold meats, salads, cookies, energy bars and snacks; and a wide assortment of beverages, for participants and guests alike.

Jake Plummer is a remarkable role model. Whether spending time with his own kids, or affording every child in attendance the opportunity to try out the sport of handball, Jake showed his patience, enthusiasm and love for members of our community, and the sport of handball.

Coeur d’Alene is fortunate to be the host city for such an event each year, and all of us should be extremely grateful to “Idaho’s First Family,” the Plummers, for their deep-rooted commitment to the betterment of our community!
