OFFICER: Needs to be fired

In a letter to the editor Jan. 11, Rick Linscott put it bluntly and honestly. Officer Brenda Knight, PFPD, gets off with a deferred sentence for excessive DUI. What a spit in the face to all of us citizens who the drunk is supposed to serve.

She got pulled over (blood alcohol over twice the legal limit), did not go to jail, did not get bonded out, did not lose her license, and how dare the PFPD chief not firing her. How many residents of Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene who get pulled over drunk get that? None.

We called our representative, Raul Labrador. We want her fired. This is an example of what your police department consists of: overpaid security guards?!

So they think they are above the law, 10 feet tall and bulletproof. Nationwide they are going to prison left and right, and the police chief doesn’t have a clue what the law means — no one is above the law. We don’t need these kinds of heroes. Fake!
