AIRPORT: Wrongful firing

| January 22, 2017 12:00 AM

I have been following the events of the firing of Coeur d’Alene airport manager Greg Delavan. I have been associated with aviation in several states over the past 45 years to include product development, manufacturing aircraft ownership and aircraft restoration, and make the following observations:

1. Coeur d’Alene has one of the best airports of its size in the U.S.

2. It has an advisory board to the county commissioners made up of individuals with airport experience any community would be proud to have.

3. I am embarrassed for our community and saddened by the action of Dan Green.

4. I encourage the new commissioners to take a good look at the programs this airport has had, and its standing among other airports in Idaho.

5. I offer my congratulations to Mr. Delavan and the Advisory Board for a job well done.

6. I hope in the future, county commissioners will work closer with the airport Advisory Board and REJECT the type of foolishness put forth by Commissioner Dan Green.
