Lori D. (Zahler) Berner, née Sheahan, 56

March 28, 1960 - Jan. 6, 2017

Lori was an exceptional Registered Nurse with a long and varied career, a wonderful mother and a loyal friend to countless people. Losing her leg to bone cancer at a young age, Lori was slowed, but not by much, wearing out a dozen legs that last most a lifetime.

She was preceded in death by Emily, her beloved daughter; and by her mother and father, Donald and Sondra (Braun) Sheahan. She is survived by her husband, Alan; her brother, Don Sheahan; her sister, Penny Wenger; her stepfather, Larry Purcell; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved dogs, Toya and Jack.

She befriended and had an impact on many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Reunited now with her daughter, God has a special place for them together in Heaven.

A celebration of Lori’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at the 92nd Street Church of Christ, 4226 92nd St. NE, Marysville, Wash.

Donations in Lori’s memory may be made to her favorite charity, Catholic Community Services/Catholic Housing Services, (800) 499-5979, ext. 5707; www.ccsww.org; or mail to Catholic Community Services, Attn: Fund Development Office, 100 23rd Ave. S, Seattle, WA 98144.
