PLOWS: Where art thou?

| January 11, 2017 12:00 AM

Where have all the Snow Plows Gone…? To the tune of Peter Paul and Mary’s famous song, “Where have all the flowers gone?”

It gave me great joy when our first snow fell at the end of November and the snowplows were in full force making sure the citizens were safe.

Since then, we have had many storms and in particular, this last weekend storm with more than 8 inches and there is no snowplow in sight.

Where are the plows for this community and the tax dollars paying the salaries of the hardworking men hired to do this job with the city of Coeur d’Alene?

I am pretty surprised that I am on day two of the storm and no trucks have even come once to help my street out and I am not shy of Sherman Avenue. Where have all the workers gone…?

I have seen so many people not able to get to work and so many stuck in the road. I have seen so many having so many troubles with their cars all because the snow plows are parked where? I have lived here for 24 years and even in the Ice Storm of 1993 there was so much happening to help the citizens. I have a question. Where have all the Snow Plows gone?

Is this city really working for us, the taxpayer? Just wondering as this storm is not a joke for many of us who live in this amazing area.
