SENIORS: Beware this trap
Last Thursday evening my husband and I went to a Post Falls restaurant for dinner. As we frequent this restaurant, we could not help but notice that at five or six tables there were couples age 70+ where men in business attire were trying to sell them something, and others in the background doing paperwork. We suspected this was a time share scam because this has happened to us in the past.
Because we have been approached in the same manner we decided to alert these elderly people who were obviously uncomfortable with the situation they found themselves in. My husband announced to all that this could be a scam and warned them not to sign anything. My husband and I were told not to ever come back.
We are concerned that this may be also happening at the other restaurants that are owned by the same people. These innocent elderly people were probably lured to a free meal if they listened to a presentation. This is not illegal. However, these vulnerable elderly people seem to be targeted at this restaurant.
