To columnist Paul Newberry: I read your great article on Jeffrey Loria printed in the Monday, Feb. 13, Coeur d’Alene Press.
As well you know, ALL owners of professional sports teams are in it for the $$$$. If they happen to put together a championship team, well more $$$.
What Loria did and is doing is what all franchises (stock holders) would like to do: Have the fans pay for it and feel like the owners do it for them (the fans).
Wrong. It’s greed at someone else’s expense. The people in charge of a municipalities’ $$$ are just people and most likely fans and do not have a clue they are being DUPED!
Once again, great article. Keep it up.
