| February 11, 2017 12:00 AM

POST FALLS — Jake Pfennigs made 8 of 10 3-pointers and finished with 30 points as the hot-shooting Post Falls Trojans closed out a perfect 5A Inland Empire League season with an 84-70 victory over the Lewiston Bengals on Friday night at The Arena.

Post Falls (15-2, 6-0 5A IEL) shot 15 for 25 from 3-point range, and 26 of 49 from the field overall.

Tanner McCliment-Call hit 3 of 5 from 3-point range, and added 23 points for the Trojans.

“That tells me we were moving the ball, swinging the ball, making the extra pass, finding the open shooter,” Post Falls coach Mike McLean said. “I thought we showed pretty good patience tonight. We got good looks all night long, by our ball movement.”

Pfennigs also had eight rebounds, Drake Thompson five assists. Cameron McKeown hit two 3-pointers early, and also had four assists.

Braeden Wilson and Riley Way each scored 17 points for Lewiston (11-8, 2-4), and Trystan Bradley added 16.

The Bengals finished in a three-way tie for second in league with Coeur d’Alene (9-9, 2-4) and Lake City (13-5, 2-4). But through a tiebreaker on point differential on head-to-head matchups among the three teams, Lewiston will be the No. 2 seed, Coeur d’Alene No. 3 and Lake City No. 4 to the 5A Region 1 tournament.

In next Friday’s openers, Lake City will travel to Post Falls, and Coeur d’Alene will play at Lewiston.
