POST FALLS — The host Post Falls Trojans had pins in the first seven matches — and another by forfeit — to beat the Lake City Timberwolves 60-21 in a dual on Wednesday at The Arena.

Bryce Smith (106 pounds), A.J. De La Rosa (120), Matt McLeod (126), Mathias De La Rosa (132), Jason Burchell (138), Braydon Huber (145) and Wyatt Shelly (152) picked up pins in the early matches, with Brad Noesen (220) also winning by pin for Post Falls. Senior Cody Cantrell picked up a 5-0 decision at heavyweight for Post Falls.

“It was senior night, so it was a great way to honor our seniors and a great group of kids,” Post Falls coach Pete Reardon. “Cody (Cantrell) won a close match (at heavyweight) and I was really proud of him. It was a good, solid match.”

Ram Lettau (170), Zane Monagham (182) and Rusty Dan (195) won by pin for Lake City.

Both teams return to action in the 5A Region 1 tournament next Saturday at Lakeland High in Rathdrum.
