COLUMN: North Idaho joy
Thank you, Christy Barton, for your My Turn article on Feb. 4. It was so uplifting and positive to hear. Waking up each morning to the awesomeness of God’s Country brings me joy and I thank Him every day for his wonders.
I would encourage you to HANG IN THERE and be patient with this snow. Born and raised in Minnesota pretty much acclimated me throughout the years. For one year living in Moorhead, Minn., and commuting to Fargo, N.D., for a job it took me plus 30 minutes to make the 3-mile trip in -75 degree wind chill factor. The trip from work took even longer because my car was not under cover. I find living in Coeur d’Alene in the winter a pure winter wonderland. I am retired now and don’t have to commute in it.
As for the inconsiderate, disrespectful blowing their horns people, I used to flip them the bird. My theory now is that these people are not worth lifting a finger for and I actually pray to God…I say “OH MY GOD!”
Stay in the moment, as I do, and all is well.
