NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING On the 21st day of February 2017, at 5:00 p.m. at City of Hayden Lake City Hall, 9393 N. Strahorn Road, Hayden Lake, Idaho 83835, a hearing will be held by the City Council of the City of Hayden Lake for the purpose of considering several amendments to the City Code requested by Verdis. The principal amendment would add a "Residential Neighborhood Zone" to the Zoning Definitions contained in City Code Section 9-2-1. Such Zone would permit single-family detached housing at a density of one single-family dwelling per .40 acre. Property currently zoned Residential would be eligible for a zone change to Residential Neighborhood in areas of the City of like character and with infrastructure that would support the density applicable to the Residential Neighborhood Zone. The other amendments being proposed amend City Code Sections 9-1.5.A (Setback Regulations), 9-3 (Residential District) and 9-3-5.A (Minimum Lot Size) to include the proposed Residential Neighborhood Zone. The amendment to City Code Section 9-3-5.A also deletes the one acre minimum lot requirement in the City and instead proposes that such requirement shall be "as required in the Residential or Residential Neighborhood Zone". No later than 4:00 p.m. on the date of the hearing, any person may file with the City Clerk of the City of Hayden Lake, 9393 N. Strahorn Road, Hayden Lake, Idaho 83835, written testimony for inclusion in the record at the hearing. Such testimony must contain the interested party's name and address and the reasons for the testimony. Oral testimony will also be allowed at the public hearing so long as it complies with the requirements of the City of Hayden Lake City Code. Further information regarding this hearing along with the full text of the proposed amendments may be obtained by contacting the City Clerk at the address listed above. Persons needing an interpreter or special accommodations are urged to contact the City Clerk at 208-772-2161 at least forty-eight (48) hours before the hearing. A copy of corresponding Request is on file with the City Clerk for public inspection.
