LEVIES: Follow the money

Most people actually believe that teachers make much less than they actually make. In light of the support this paper has generally given for the various levies it seems that it would only be fair if the paper also published copies of the various salary schedules because most of the levies go for teacher salaries.

Public school teachers generally get a raise each year as they move up on the salary schedules. While the plea is to help the poor students, in actual fact most of the funding goes for teachers. While teachers can generally count on a raise with each passing year none of the rest of the population can count on such largess. It is only fair to ask teachers to live like the rest of us.
