BARRON: Expense isn't frivolous

Re: The expense of allowing the presidential son to finish his school in his present school, citing the cost of security. I didn’t take the time to pull up the dollar figures, but there were repeated mentions of the cost of flying Air Force One around the world to various countries, taxiing the Obama family and, at times, extra guests, at taxpayer expense. One that I remember was a birthday party for a daughter and her friends.

In my humble opinion, this is not frivolous to grant the boy some continuity during these years. He may be going on into a middle school, which will be entirely different from where he is now, and will be an adjustment at that. But that’s just my opinion.
