STORY: A point about poll

I strongly object to the article headlined, “Poll: Most say Trump crossed line with Russian contacts.” The article states in the middle of a lengthy nonsense “that 62 percent of Democrats think he did something illegal while 5 percent of Republicans believe so.” That evidently adds up to “most” of the country.

I know the media has its own agenda but would like to see the Coeur d’Alene Press be more professional!

Editor’s note: The headline referred to 70 percent of Americans polled saying they believe President Trump has acted illegally or unethically regarding Russia. The fourth paragraph of the article reads: “Four in 10 Americans think the president has done something illegal when it comes to Russia, while an additional 3 in 10 say he’s at least done something unethical. And 68 percent disapprove of his response to the investigations.”
