CHEERS: For beautiful music

Max Mendez, Choral Instructor and Bryan Hannnaford, Director of Bands, are to be commended for the music programs they produce.

The Christmas performance at the Schuler Performing Arts Center brought diversity of tunes from throughout the world, as well as creative arrangements of our traditional holiday tunes.

The evening production was interspersed with interviews of citizens about their favorite memories of Christmas, adding local interest and humor.

My spirits were lifted and my heart joyful as we turned homeward. To me the North Idaho College music department — directors, singers and musicians — are a shining star in our community in North Idaho.
