Carol June McGee, 82

Carol June McGee, 82, from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, went to be with her precious Lord on Dec. 10, 2017, at the beautiful Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene. She married the love of her life, Charles McGee, M.D., the day after he graduated medical school in Chicago Ill., on June 16, 1961. They met in Chicago while Chuck was a senior medical student at Wesley Hospital in Chicago. Carol was head nurse of a medical ward and the two were inseparable ever since.

Carol was a standout nurse during her exceptional career in Cincinnati, Detroit, Oakland and Chicago. Her true calling was to help others, and nursing was the perfect occupation for someone with a heart so pure. Her hobbies included flower gardening, reading, tending to her many cats and travel. She took 15 trips overseas to explore the world with her sweetheart, Chuck. The most important thing to Carol was always her children. She was a doting mother, and many of the other kids in the neighborhood would be drawn to her home for her caring and compassionate ways.

Carol was a disciple for the Lord. She had many leadership roles within the churches she attended. For the last 38 years she attended Mountain View Lakes Church, also known as Bethel Baptist. She had a very close relationship with many of the wonderful folks she met there. She was always known as someone who would help any person in need without judgment.
