Greeny signs extention

Washington State and women’s volleyball coach Jen Greeny have agreed to a contract extension, Cougars interim Director of Athletics John Johnson announced Wednesday. The agreement will run through June of 2023.

Greeny led the Cougars to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament second round appearance in spite of losing a pair of starters to injury during the season. WSU was one of nine Pac-12 teams to compete in the 2017 NCAA Tournament.

The Cougars defeated Florida State in the first round before falling to No. 5 and national semi-finalist Nebraska in the second round in Lincoln.

Greeny’s record in 109-120 in seven seasons at WSU and 221-144 in 11 seasons as a head coach and was the 2016 Pac-12 Coach of the Year.
