AVISTA: A foreign alarm

Just recently Avista Utilities was sold to a Canadian company. It didn’t take long to see that they already want to do rate hikes to gouge us. That’s not the biggest problem. We have an electric company in the United States that’s in control by a company from outside the United States. That’s scary and should never be allowed to happen. Where are we going from here? So far, rates are scheduled to increase in 2017 AND 2018. What’s to stop them? Only we can. We must not let this happen.

Please contact the Utility Commission to complain, but who knows who owns them. This is SCARY, people. This is only the tip of the iceberg on what’s going wrong with this country, but we have to start someplace. Soon we won’t be able to afford lights and heating.
